National Opera and Ballet Theater
The National Opera and Ballet Theater or TKOB is the main theater of Tirana and of the whole Albania. The National Opera and Ballet Theater was founded on November 29, 1953.
First located inside the building of the Academy of Music and Art of Albania and later transferred to the Palace of Culture in Tirana, in the city center.
This theater helped to develop the arts in the capital, which before then had no space for performances. Today the Opera presents works by Albanian and international composers.
